Abstract

Mr. A, a 30 year old graduate student, was diagnosed with aplastic anemia on 11/16/94. Treatments with antithymocyte globulin, cyclosporin, prednisone, TCM formulas, and qigong therapy all failed to reduce need for transfusions. Acupoint diagnostic tests revealed multiple pathogens damaging bone marrow function, including mercury, cadmium, benzopyrene, herpes, coxsackie, influenza, and leukemia viruses. After 18 months of Chinese herbal treatment based on acupoint diagnostics, weekly transfusions are discontinued and all blood values are normal three years later.

At the initial office visit patient was receiving 1 unit packed RBCs and1 unit of platelets every 5-6 days. He had received antithymocyte globulin, cyclosporin, prednisone, TCM herbal formulas, and qigong therapy without benefit. Six mercury bearing silveramalgam fillings had been removed, and a stool test showed candidiasis. Current prescription medications included Diflucan and DHEA.

Acupoint diagnostics involves the detection of shixuan acupoint interference patterns associated with specific pathogenic factors by Omura’s bidigital O-ring test, followed with neutralization by Chinese herbal medicines. Omura’s test can identify acupoints with anatomical resonance to tissue samples, i.e. Gallbladder 31 resonates with hematopoetic tissue, an essential factor in bone marrow disease. Bacterial, viral, fungal, toxic, and heavy metals exposures create infrared light emissions detected by the examiners fingertips which are then neutralized by clinically effective herbal formulas compounded from single ingredients. The test produces weakness in O-ring grip strength when acupoints with pathologic changes are measured. The weak response is reversed or strengthened by samples of herbs that neutralize the pathogenic factors, based on TCM theory and contemporary studies on pharmacology. A plexiglass honeycomb with optical waveguide holds glass vials of herbal extracts during the testing procedure.
