A Review of Research into the Application of Acupuncture in Pregnancy

This article examines research on the use of acupuncture during pregnancy, specifically for pelvic pain, nausea and vomiting, breech presentation, prebirth preparation and cervical ripening. The studies on pelvic pain, nausea and vomiting and breech presentation have been selected because they have been published in medical and midwifery journals which are readily accessible to medical professionals. The studies on prebirth preparation and cervical ripening have been selected due to their relevance to clinical practice.
