The following is the unedited recording of a recent lecture given by Giovanni on the diagnosis and treatment of bipolar disease with Chinese medicine. Giovanni has made a special study of the nature and function of Shen and Hun and interprets bipolar disease in the light of these two mental-spiritual aspects of our psyche. The lecture also explores the similarities and differences between bipolar disease and the ancient Chinese disease category of Dian Kuang.
