Effects of Kuan Sin Yin and Buddhism-based Program on Quality of
Qi deficiency and emotional distress are commonly seen in cancer patients, and may result in reducing the quality of life (QOL) of cancer patients. The combination of qi supplementing treatment and a meditation program may be a helpful holistic therapy for cancer patients to relieve their stress. We hypothesize that the Kuan Sin Yuan (KSY) decoction and three-month Buddhism-based group stress reduction program can help cancer outpatients improve their QOL.
