Fish and birds in childhood prevent eczema

A Swedish cohort study of 4921 infants has found that introducing fish into the children's diet before nine months of age decreased their likelihood of developing eczema by 24%. Having a bird in the home also had a protective effect, reducing the risk by 65%. Breast feeding and time of milk and egg introduction did not affect the risk.
